Drawings are at once the heartbeat, the bones, the musculature, and the spirit of all art. Drawings constitute a unique language for each artist, and the viewer is privileged to glimpse the skeletal elements of the art process first-hand. Drawings are personal: they reveal , they are intended as notes, they are a means to an end, and they represent the embryo of genius...the moment of an artist's truth.

Tea
Cause of death: suicide...The raven, symbol of death became death today. The note stated that Haydn, upon accidentally eating the extremely poisonous GUIGIAN TEA LEAF, decided to hang himself. However, several factors led to a heightened suspicion amongst the flock about their friend's death. They authorized the famed surgeon, Dr. Esposito, to conduct an altopsy -- a procedure that may validate the uncertainty that Haydn's death just may have been a setup, the result of a jealous starling's attempt to rid the flock of their well loved, extremely talented leader.

I love your stories and the illustrations....imkirkwood
interesting tea illustration... making a note to self to not buy that particular brand...
This is a rather morbid piece, but I may submit another related to "Tea"...all depends on time constraints. Wouldn't life be great if we could do nothing but art?!
This is so funny and love your description of the unfortunate demise of fearless leader, wonderful artwork.
You must taste my tea, sure it could come in handy for future excellent drawings of feathered pests };-}
Fabulous piece, and an intriguing site the like of which I haven't seen before. Interesting the way the surgeon looks to be in a state of dissection too.
The detail in your work is wonderful. I really love the song one as well.
So was he drinking magic hat?
