Drawings are at once the heartbeat, the bones, the musculature, and the spirit of all art. Drawings constitute a unique language for each artist, and the viewer is privileged to glimpse the skeletal elements of the art process first-hand. Drawings are personal: they reveal , they are intended as notes, they are a means to an end, and they represent the embryo of genius...the moment of an artist's truth.

Invention
Poor Toulouse tried to find love in all the wrong places. When he realized that it could not be bought, he made every attempt to invent a companion that not only supported his art, but gave him space amidst his neurotic yet brilliant episodes of creativity.

Beautiful.
wow....great stuff....wonderful rendering!
I like the style in your illo's.
The hook and grapple, plugged cord, and cane grasping the hind quarters draw you up to the wings. The construction / deconstruction of line weight the imagery perfectly.
