Camouflague

Like camouflague, I will receed into the background of the ifri world. I told myself that I would keep my posting streak alive (94 posts), in so much as I received comments. Seeing that I received a whopping "zero" on my last post, I am now relinquished from my posting duties!

My life is much too busy to waste time posting in vane. No - don't think that I will stop drawing...not at all, you just will not see what I do. After all, isn't that what camouflague does?

Happy illustrating...it's been fun!

I think it's because people has not the same enthusiasm. It had happened also to me. It's not because they don't like your illustrations.

I'd be disappointed if I never got a single comment, but you get TONS of comments because we all love seeing your work. I'd love to see you back, and believe me, I know how hard it is to fit these things in with a busy schedule. I personally hope I haven't seen the last of you. (or your work)

Do not despair .

My observation is that some of the best artists on IF - and I count you as one - get relatively few comments. Many of the ones who consistently rack up great quantities of comments, are those who live at the Hallmark Cute end of the spectrum and engage in comment trading more than art making.

I tend not to leave comments unless I am really struck by what I see. I believe that some who used to leave me comments have given up doing so once they realize that I am unlikely to reciprocate.

All of which is from a guy who gets relatively few comments, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt.

I still post because I use IF as a weekly kick in the pants, regardless of whether anyone comments or looks.

It is too easy to get addicted to cheap praise. I had hit counters on my blog which I used to check obsessively. I took them out. I was spending more of my precious time fretting about whether people were looking than I was making pictures.

Oh geez...thanks for the nice words of encouragement and sof forth. I'm not so much discouraged as I am busy...I was looking for a bit of an "out", but hey -- if you guys like the work, I just may attempt to post now and then. No guarantees...just when I can. I will certainly resume again in the Fall, when school starts again.

Thank you all!!!

Although I think I've only left you one comment, I visit your blog regularly. It's on my favorites list. Like you, I'm busy and finding it hard to find the time to post much less comment. I really enjoy looking at everyone else's artwork, though, and usually find the time to do that. So, I'm very happy to see that you've decided to keep posting.
